Support Canada and purchase Canadian made products from Canadian businesses!
There are currently select tariffs imposed by the USA on some products imported to the USA from Canada. Due to this, Canada has imposed select retaliatory counter tariffs on some products imported into Canada from the USA. This is creating higher costs and in turn higher prices for the goods affected by these tariffs. Canada and The USA are intertwined in business where often each Country is dependent on the other for some raw materials or key products. These tariffs negatively affect businesses on both sides of the border. Given this current ongoing situation, Canadians should consider choosing to purchase Canadian made products whenever possible over products made in the USA. The Geo. H. Hewitt Co. Limited is a small locally owned and operated Canadian business and we manufacture and supply our products from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. We are proudly Canadian and we will do our part to promote Canada, promote Canadian business and buy Canadian. We greatly appreciate all of our customers and sincerely thank you for your business.
To our valued customers in the USA. Did you know that buying products from The Geo. H. Hewitt Co. Limited will not only provide you with high quality Canadian made products but even with the added cost of a tariff which your Government has implemented on some Canadian products, you will still save money over purchasing the exact same product at the same cost in US dollars from home! This is because due to exchange rates between our two Nations, one US dollar is currently worth approximately $1.40 in Canadian dollars. That means even with a 25% tariff imposed by your Government when your goods arrive at the border, one US dollar will therefore have purchased approximately $1.15 worth of Canadian goods.
The Geo. H. Hewitt Co. Limited, a Canadian Company does not and will not charge you as an American customer a tariff nor do we pay any tariff directly to your Government. You as an American purchaser will be charged the tariff by your US Custom and Border Protection Agency (CBP) along with any other taxes and duties when your purchased product enters into The USA. This may be billed to you directly from CBP or may be billed to you through your courier or freight company. It is in both our Countries best interests to implement and enjoy a system of trade which is beneficial and fair to both Countries.
